We were so blessed in Bay with tremendous teachers and Mr. Ule was right there at the top. He made studying Chemistry enjoyable and fun. I can still remember hearing from his previous students about his hand-walking ability. We asked him and he sheepishly acknowledged it but I think he made us wait until the last day of class. And there he was walking on his hands. Mr. Ule taught us more than just chemistry. Imagine all the students influenced

Whenever I think about teachers who influenced me, Mr. Ule comes to mind. He was the kind of teacher that made you work hard but still love his class. I am a high school teacher now and hope to do challenge my students in the same way he challenged me every day. I remember his patience and his sense of humor--one day we even got him to walk on his hands in class, and we thought it was the greatest

Mr. Ule was more than a great teacher, he was also a great friend to all of his students while in school as well as outside of school. And because of that he was able to really connect to all of his students. Were all going to miss you Mr. Ule and all of your amazing side walk chalk illustrations, and your famous molecule dance.

Mr. Ule was my biology teacher in my sophomore year in 1977-78. He was an amazing teacher and inspired my love for biology. I have many fond memories of him and am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was very much one of my favorite teachers who had a lasting impact on my career. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mrs. Ule,

I am so sorry for your loss. Your husband was the most humble, wonderful teacher, neighbor, and friend of mine. I didn't even know you both had lived across the street from me until after I was finished with his class in '97, but I have never had anyone in my life encourage me in anything that I literally was horrible at, than he did in Chemistry. He never made me feel stupid. He always encouraged me to

Mr. Ule was not only a passionate educator, but a kind person with a great sense of humor. Chemistry was not something that I loved, and yet I loved his class. Now a teacher, I have told my own students today about him... I will always remember him. His family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences to the Ule family. I graduated from Bay HIgh School in 1997 and was fortunate to have been one of Mr. Ule's chemistry students. Mr. Ule's dedication to teaching helped inspire me to pursue a career in education. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on through his family, friends and students.

As Mark's niece, I never got to see the side of him that is described in the numerous comments left by his former students. It is so nice to hear what a tremendous impact he had on so many lives. He will be greatly missed by so many people.
