"Major" was a great manager and it was a true honor to have played under his successful reign as a Yankee skipper.

My earliest memories of Ralph are entwined with my earliest memories of baseball. A lifelong Yankee fan, I remember, as a kid, always looking for his familiar presence in front of the dugout, and that great smile when they were winning!
I was so sorry to hear of his passing. This July has been hard on the Yankees and their fans...the Voice of God, the Boss, and now the Major. May he now forever enjoy the companionship of all his friends and loved ones gone before him.
Rest in Peace, Ralph.

"The Major" was my fantasy camp manager in 92 with the Twins. We all had a great time listening to Ralph regale us with stories about Mickey and Roger and others. He had a million stories and was more that willing to share them with campers. I rembembered him fondly on many occasions since them and regret his passing. He was a fine man.
