My Favorite Moment was when my Son read "They Call Me Assassin" when he was 8 years old and executed every hit in the Book when he went out for Football. The Next Year he wore #32 and Grew a Black Power Afro...this was in 2001. The Assassin Lives Forever. We Love you.

like jose, i was also at fort ord with jack.
unfortunately i don't remember that event, where jack had to do everything double time, because the drill seargeant wanted every one to believe that basic training was much harder than football training. jose, do you remember if the drill sergeant was sergeant friday ?

Jack was my 4th Platoon Leader, Fort Ord, US Army, 1972. During one of our many exercises, Physical Training (PT), our drill sergeant asked Jack “Which of the exercises is tougher, the Army's or Football?” Jack said “Football” the drill sergeant went nuts!!! had Jack do everything double time and longer for that remark, I was laughing inside, not to show the drill sergeants that it was a walk in the park for Jack. What a great person, kept a lot of things to himself at that time.
