Jim: It's taken me so long to write in this guestbook. The first day I met Jane she was looking for Oliver right after you moved here. We started talking and after 5 minutes I felt like I knew her forever. And, when I had to go take care of my parents she always was there for Elliott...whatever I needed. I wish she would have asked me to do something for her. She had the same dry sense of humor

Jane was extraordinary and I will never forget her. I regret that we didn't seize the day and spend more time together. How lucky you are to have had such a remarkable spirit to shape all of your lives. Jane was first class and she inspires me to be a better woman. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Jane through her wonderful son Robert at Marshall Middle School when I worked as Roberts aide. I was saddened by the news of her passing. We have lost a very special person along with a great advocate for special needs children.
She will be missed.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless
Karla Robinson

I was so sorry to hear about Jane's death. It doesn't seem that long ago when we had our Thanksgiving gatherings. My sympathy and prayers are with all of you. Mary Ann Smith

Dear Family - After being away from work a couple weeks, I returned to the Marshall District Library on Saturday, August 7, and was catching up on emails when I came across one advising staff that Jane had passed away in a tragic automobile accident and that Robert was in critical condition. I am still in shock. I shall always remember Jane's frequent trips to the Library with Robert. I always looked forward to seeing them - Jane always teaching

Though I did not know you personally Jane, I Knew of you and your accomplishments from Barbara Lehtonen a very close friend of your Mom and family and also to me, I know that your life on earth was spent helping others and loving and caring for your family. May you rest in peace knowing that others here on earth will continue on your behalf helping others, as you did while here. God's Blessings to yu and your family. Betty Lukkarinen

Jim and boys,
We are very sad, really very sad with that...we consider you and family very special friends and are praying for you to overcome this tragedy...I will always remember Jane smiling, like when we were at the Dark Horse, in one of my last days in Marshall, and I was given those Michigan cups...They are being very well kept....Will never forget!!!
I know you Jim, and am sure you will recover steadily, being the strong man and the example you are. Alex, Patricia Arruda and kids
