Kattie Ruth Jarrett

We have shared so many happy times together. We camped, fished, danced, took road trips, canoed and worked together. She was so much fun to be with. I enjoyed many of her "old time" stories as she was 16 years older and had experienced much more of life than I. I spent my 17TH year in McNeil Ark. with her and her family. She was a very busy person with a big garden and at that time working 6 days

She was a very busy person with a big garden and at that time working 6 days a week 8 hours a day. She had many friends at work everyone liked her very much. I was proud to be her sister. I used to look a lot like her and that made me proud. She was a very pretty young girl that grew into a beautiful woman. Beauty inside as well as out. She was a kind fare person that believed in "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". She had a loving and caring personality. Her kindness did not stop at people, she caried for many hurt animals and birds. She did her very best to support her 5 children and 1 granddaughter that she raised without child support or welfare. I could go on forever singing her praises I think you heve an idea of how I feel. I will miss her and know I will think of her every day until we meet again. May you rest in peace Ruth.

As long as people treated her decently, you couldn't ask for a more obliging, caring person than Ruth was. And could she sing? YOU BET! Once a neighbor asked my parents if she was singing from the roof top of our house, he could hear her singing at a good country mile... She loved to dance, and listen to Daddy on Fiddle, Brothers on Guitar, and myself on Piano as we played away for hours at a time. She loved to fish, and was a wonderful gardner. She learned many Wild Crafting secrets from our Grandmother Kattie Jane Forman.

My two most memorable and fun summers growing up were spent in Southwest Arkansas with Ruth and Norman. They were so good to me, took me to Mississippi, just so I could cross the Mississippi River. They took me to Louisianna. Those were such a fun filled time in my life.

Life was not always kind to my Sister, but when given Lemons, she made Lemonaide. Times were not easy for her raising her Children alone, with nearest family some 300 miles or more away, and without the aid of the Child Support she should have had. I take my hat off to my Big Sister!!

YOU DID IT GIRL! Enjoy your rest in peace, until (hopefully) we meet again.

My sympathy to all the family of Ruth, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. My last memories of her will be the fun day we spent on the 4th of July celebration/family reunion last year at Tammy and Larry's home. She was so happy that day. I will miss her laughter.
