Memories & Candles
Dear Fillenwarth Family, My mom, Debbie Nitchals, just told me about Ruth. I am so sorry for your loss. Ruth was a great woman. I will always remember the summers at the resort and how your entire family treated us like family. I will miss visiting Ruth at the office when I would visit mom next door. She was always full of energy and had overcome so much. She always gave good advice to me and made me laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Lynn, I want to express my sympathies to you and your family on the death of your mother. May the Lord grant you peace and comfort during this difficult time. May your family and friends provide you the comfort that you provided me when my father died.

So sorry to learn upon our arrival home that Ruth had passed away. We know she endured to much suffering in her battle with cancer but it never diminished that smile and cheerful greeting she had for all - rather she knew you are not - it meant so much to many and will never be forgotten. She was a remarkable person. Our sincere thoughts are with you and may the fond memories of your mother and wife help ease the pain.

Ruth was a role model for lawyers! She always inspired me to work hard and do my best. When Dave moved to Iowa she was so kind and warm and friendly to him. He loved getting her to laugh!
Please know you are all in our thoughts. We only wish we were there to be with you.

Dear Fillenwarth family,
I grew up in Estherville, and lived very close to the family practice, I used to play near there as a kid and knew your mom from being a "neighbor" and also for the many times she so willingly helped my parents and family with any legal question/problems. She never was "too busy" to come to the phone or see you in her office. I remember the love she had of her dogs, and how they were part

I was very sad to hear of your loss. You all know Ruth was a great person. She changed my life at a very young age and I am sure she helped form several others through out her life. She will be missed Greatly. Your family and Ruth are in our prayers.

Although we did not personally know Ruth, she sounded like a tremendous indidividual. We are yearly visitors to Fillenwarths and are always treated like family, so in return, we would like to extend our sympathy to you and your family.
