Viveiros, AnthonyC., 82, died Saturday, December 25, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Mary K. (Dolan) Viveiros and a son of the late John and Delrina (Fernandes) Viveiros. Anthony was employed as a meat cutter for A&P and Star Markets before retiring. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the RI National Guard. Mr. Viveiros competed in the Senior Olympics in the Shot-Put, Javelin and High Jumps. An avid golfer, he had two hole-in-ones at the East Greenwich Golf Course and the Firefly Golf Course. He was a communicant of St. Francis de SalesChurch.
Besides his wife he is survived by two children John Viveiros and Sandra Weston; one brother John Viveiros; two sisters Theresa O’Leary and Ann Berg; two grandchildren Kevin and Katie Viveiros; one great-grandson Brayden Stolpa. He was the brother of the late Joseph Viveiros and Katherine Mello.
His funeral will be held Thursday, December 30 at 8:45 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis de Sales Church, School St, at 10:00AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial with military honors in the RI VeteransCemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Care New England VNA, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI02886 will be appreciated.
