Mary Lou Kristiansen

Kristiansen Mary Lou, 92, of White Plains, died on Monday, January 31st at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was a native of PA, devoted wife of Chris Kristiansen of Brooklyn, NY. They were married in PA in 1949 and later moved to White Plains. He predeceased her, passing in 1982. She is survived by many nephews and nieces. Mary Lou graduated from Penn State University and received her Master’s Degree from Teachers College Columbia University. She taught for years in the Hastings-on-Hudson School District, retiring in 1984. For decades, she showed an unfailing dedication and commitment to White Plains as she was an Associate for the White Plains Beautification Foundation, past president of the White Plains Woman’s Club, and volunteered at White Plains Hospital. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church on North Street in White Plains.
