To Don's family: We were really sorry to learn of Don's passing. I was a schoolmate of his & our mothers' worked together at DuPont. I knew his sister. We know he's in a better place, but it's still difficult to give them up.

Shirley - you're my hero! You have been a pillar of strength and such a model of grace and love during Don's battle. It's hard to imagine what life would be like without my husband - but I know it could happen and I only have to remember to lean on God. I know you know this too! Don had invited us to your house this summer for a BBQ (as I can see he is famous for!) ... but

We were part of a roving construction crew
in the 60's and 70's in the Columbia district. All of us who worked around him
have fond and pleasant memories of all those
days that we spent building the old style
phone lines in all kinds of weather. My
condolences to the family. We will miss him.

I remember Don from the Maury County Fair. he was always so good to my grandfather Mr. Charlie and was a family friend for years.

I am so sorry to learn of Don's passing. I graduated with him and he and I share the same birthdate 8-3-42. I know you have went through alot during thi difficult time. But he had you to lean on for love, comfort and strength. Now you must lean on God in the days ahead. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Shirley, I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Harmon's passing. I know this is a tough time for you and just wanted to let you know I have been thinking about you.
