Memories & Candles
Marion and I worked for the same time period at CA Dept of Public Health, I as the Dietary Consultant, she as a Supervisor. But I lost touch when I retired in 2007. Anyone who knew her, could not help but be impacted by her infectious enthusiasm. Even when you disagreed (and sometimes we did on some nursing home dietary issues or such), she would accept the challenge and enthusiastically wear you down. Got to love her, right? I remember

I spent time with Marion only on a few occasions, but she really left an impression on me. She had such great energy and vitality, it was hard not to get excited about whatever she was excited about. She was a great conversationalist and time spent with her seemed to pass too quickly. Knowing both Marion and her husband Woody, it was apparent that they had one of those special relationships that comes along only once in a lifetime. I will miss her.

Marion was my supervisor for years and a great one at that! She taught me so much, was very supportive, and always took the time to help me out. I will always appreciate the time Marion spent with me and all the wisdom and information she imparted to me.

Marion illuminated the room with her smile... She lifted the spirit with the love, strength, and wisdom she so openly shared. She gave so much to so many. Something in her voice and laugh brought sunshine and wrapped you in her warmth. She'll never stop caring for us all. She was REAL...more spiritual than material. I'll always remember and love her. Everytime I hear Billie Holiday sing I'll think of her. Marion learned how to live on the Sunny Side of Life. God Bless the Child!

My cousin Marion, or as I called her 'Piedy',her nickname growing up,
was my partner in crime. While growing up in Maine, we went to Sunday
School together, went to the Fairfield Creamr, where her sister Brenda
worked, for ice cream. We got into trouble together. We were
inseperable.
I moved to California first and years later Piedy moved to SanDiego.
When we connected again it was like we were seven again!!
Piedy, I love you and will carry all of

To family and friends
I will always cherish the time "Piedy" and I spent searching our Mayflower ancestors when she came to Maine some time ago, visiting cemeteries, going to town offices in Mercer and Smithfield, Maine and going out to lunch. We also had a wonderful visit with her in California when my sister, Margaret lived there. She was one of my favorite cousins.

I will always remember how you loved your family, loved your life, and how you absolutely loved a great shopping deal! Thank you for being a great mentor. You will forever remain in my prayers...

To all of Marion's family and friends I extend my deepest sympathies. Marion was truly a great friend. She was always thinking of others even when she was sick. My life was blessed for having known her.

A fun Saturday evening spent with Marion and Woody. Woody prepared a great meal for all of us.
