Memories & Candles
Our thoughts and prayers go to the family. Our infrequent trips back to Grace UMC were brighten by the smiling face of Mr. Buddy and his family. We will miss him. The light of Christ was bright in the life of Buddy Walker. Rest in Peace my Dear Friend.

Buddy lived to serve others. He reminds me of the hymn "Give of Your Best to the Master." That is what he did: in the church, in Boy Scouts, and in the community. He had a vision of the church reaching the entire world for Christ, and he followed that dream.

Buddy Walker was a large part of the foundation of many of us natives of Dermott. Though he has passed from this realm, his influence will continue to be felt even in families scattered to distant places. I am thankful to have known him, and grateful for his good impact. And I cherish memories of those formative years.

To the Walker Family, Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this time of incredible grief. I loved Mr. Walker and he was such a joy to care for. I loved listening to him tell his stories of his lifes experiences and happenings. Mr. Walkers wife and kids are so blessed to have had such a wonderful role model, partner and leader in life. Mr. Walker surely made a permanent impression on my Heart and I will never forget him and his loving family. Laurie Myers Johnson, RN

This is the passing of a great man and human being. "Buddy" will long be remembered, respected, and honored for his untiring work in Scouting helping to develop young boys into successful men. Rest well, "Buddy", as you have earned it and for a job well done!
