I think of you often and sometimes when I do, I think of how often you must have thought of me. I miss you, though that's nothing new since that's all I ever could do was miss you. I do not blame you for anything. People make mistakes and as an adolescent and adult, I have definitely made my own :) I love you and I always will. I'm so glad my Ayden got to see you before you went.

I'm so glad my Ayden got to see you before you went. I am sad that Alyvia was too little to see you. I do regret not making more of an effort as a grown up to reach out to you. I sat back and watched others reach out and get bitten every time. It was scary to try, so, like you, I didn't try. I know your last day here, sitting by your bed in the hospital talking to you and you with tears down your cheeks is something I'll never forget. I could feel the regret and the love and the wanting more time to make it right. I told you I loved you and I meant it. I told you I knew you loved me back and I meant that too. Had you not stared into my eyes for your last few minutes of life, this may not have made an impact on me but I'm glad you did. I cry often as I did when I was a child, the difference is, I don't wish I didn't feel for you. I love that I have a memory to carry with me. It's a sad memory since we were saying goodbye but it is a very happy one too. You said goodbye and let us know you loved us. Something I waited 27 years for. :) Thank you providing that to me. I hope you like your new headstone. I did the best I could, a single mom of 2 paying for a headstone wasn't easy but you were worth it. I'll make it out there soon to see it and visit you. We have some things that the babies and I bought to put on your grave to make it colorful. I'm glad to see that your side of the family has found your obituary and spoke. I have always wondered about them and wished I knew them. Anyway, I love you and miss you and promise to visit soon. Love, Erica, Ayden and Alyvia.

He was the father of my three children.The best thing he ever did for me was give me these kids.He had seven grandchildren as a result of our children.I do thank God I got to be with him in his last moments to pray with him also and to say farewell to him.He will always hold a part of my heart.
