ANNABELLE MAXWELL, age 82 years, a former resident of the Moore Community and more recently a resident of Nella's at Crystal Springs, departed this life Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the nursing home.
She was born Monday, November 26, 1928 at Limestone, WV a daughter of the late Earl Jay and Tiny Audra Marie Beavers Maxwell.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann Thompson and husband James; one sister, Minnie D. Shahan; and two grandsons, James A. Thompson, Jr. and Josh Thompson, all of Parsons.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, George and Fred Maxwell; and three sisters, Catherine Snider, Beulah Andrews and Hazel Rhoades.
She attended the one room school at Limestone. She was a housekeeper for various families and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Parsons. She enjoyed crocheting, plastic canvas work and raising doves.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11 AM. Dr. George Rhoades will officiate and interment will follow at the Limestone Cemetery at St. George, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for ANNABELLE MAXWELL.
