Memories & Candles
I had the privilege of sharing a work space cubicle wall with Sue. For approximately 5 years.
My fondest memories of her, are her infectious sense of humor and hearty laugh. It always sounded like a party was going on in her cubicle. I also enjoyed talking politics with her in the mornings around the coffee pot. Her care, compassion and desire for people to be treated fairly always came through in her conversation.
I was very saddened to hear of her passing. And will miss her very much.
I offer my condolences to her family during this difficult time.

I only saw Sue a few times a year, but whenever I crossed the street from Daley Center to the County Building for assorted business, I always looked forward to having a chat with Sue. She was always so knowlegable, not only about GIS, but also about a diverse array of other topics. What fun it was to shoot the breeze with her! I will miss her very much.

Certain friends have a way of setting up residence in us. We may not always know exactly when that happens but we are so very glad they did!!!
Sue was such a person..
To the family:
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

I am so sorry to know that Sue is no more. I have known Sue for the last 10 years. A very smart and energetic person always enthusiastic about work and ready to help when ever we asked for it.
Loved to discuss poitics and kept in touch with all the news. She loved to travel too. Whenever I called to talk about an issue we would end up discussing everything and anything.
You will be missed Sue. I can still hear her laughter in my ears. May you rest in peace,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Sue. She was a big part of what made coming to work a pleasure. We would have great discussions about politics- Sue was always listening to Obama's speeches and telling us the highlights. Her passion for justice was inspiring. Also, Sue showed me a lot of early cartoons from the 1950s on YouTube and shared her love of classical music and art, especially Van Gogh. And of course she taught
