Shocking news. Got to know him at various USGC meetings. I have fond memories of his ethusiasm, positive attitude and concern for the well being of all those around him.
My deepest sympathies to his family.

Shannon was a co-worker at Hart Publications and a great mentor. I have very fond memories of him and always enjoyed his jovial outlook. It's because of him that I understand so much about the biofuels industry (he taught me the saying "drink the best, burn the rest"), and I will be forever grateful. He will be missed.

I worked with Shannon at Hart and he was always so upbeat and so knowledgable in his field. He made a great many friends at Hart and in the industry. He will be greatly missed.

The Hawaii Farmers Union Board of Directors is deeply saddened by Shannon's sudden and tragic passing. Shannon had a vision for the growth and development of the HFU and worked diligently to help us plan for that future.

In his memory, and in his honor, we have just completed a strategic planning workshop that he organized and was planning to attend himself. We dedicate our work this week, and our work going forward, to Shannon - without Shannon's hard work and heartfelt support the Hawaii Farmers Union would have passed out of existence.

We share your grief.

Dear Sheri and Ashton,

I can't remember ever seeing Shannon without a smile. It was always so clear that his life was driven by the love he had for the two of you. May his kindness continue to be a guiding light in your lives.

Dear Sheri and Ashton, I struggle with why God takes some so early, but I have never tried to second guess His wisdom. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Shannon brought joy to so many and I know Heaven is a better place because of his arrival. Love to you all. Love Laura Bee

Shannon was a very nice and warm guy to be around at our church. He was very tall to my 5'2, but I can assure you I felt very honored to be in his presence. My mother and I want to express our condolences to Sheri and Ashton and the entire family on your precious loss. Shannon will be very missed by all of us at Emmanuel. Shannon, you will be so missed.

Certainly was a shock to hear about the passing of Shannon. Being friends of Jennings and Rosemary, we heard great things about Shannon over the years. Our only regret is that we only had opportunity to meet Shannon once. His love of family was always expressed by Jennings and Rosemary. May his legacy live on through his son, Ashton.
