Just received the sad news of the loss of our old friend and shipmate of many, many years. Our deepest condolenses to Marianne and all of Fitz's family and friends. We shared many good times at Harvard and thereafter onshore and in the sea service. Fitz has crossed the bar as a great friend, sailor and family man.

My family and I would like to express our condolences to Marianne and the rest of the Lufkin family. Fitz was a super guy who always had a smile on his face and had a great sense of humor. The world won’t be the same without him. RIP.

Dear Marianne and family, I will always remember Fitz with great respect as my most important mentor. He was always professional and a true gentleman and, leading by example, he taught us all to be ethical, honest brokers. None of us ever wanted to disappoint Fitz so we always tried to be just a little bit better than we thought we could be. We worked hard and partied even harder; had great times with lots of laughter. May the angels guide you safely into port, Fitz.

Dear MaryAnne and family, Wally and I are so sad to hear that dear Fitz has died. He meant the world to Wally who had such admiration and respect for Fitz. He enjoyed working with him so much. I enjoyed the gentle fun loving conversations with Fitz, myself, when I would stop by the real estate office on Washington Street or when Fitz would call to talk to Wally. Fitz took a genuine interest in us and our lives. He
