I worked with Jim at Key Lanes, we had some great times there. He always had a smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye. I had lost track of him when I quit so many many years ago. May he rest in peace. God Bless all of the family, I know he will be missed.

To the Miller Family,
Victor and I are sending you prayers and encouragement in this difficult time. I remember taking care of Jim when he had his surgery years and years ago.
The photo album was full of beautiful memories that you and your family will surely enjoy throughout the years.
Giving you strength and keeping you all in our prayers.

Jimmy was an friend and mentor to so many of us - even as a wet-nosed Lt - he made me feel like I was a valued member of the Guard family. And the stories and jokes Jim would tell helped us keep a perspective on the important things. Each other. A toast to you Jimmy - thanks for caring! My regards to Shirley!

Sorry you had to "Fly West" so soon. You were one of the best NCOIC's at the Guard. Hope you're with Joe, Steve, Jim, Larry and Rod.

One of the good guys who will be missed. I remember summer camps at Alpena, MI and think of Jim fondly. He is up there in heaven with my dad and alot of others who were patriots like Ed, Don, Max and so many more. Rest in Peace. God Bless America...Major Maria Male-Basile, Retired

I considered Jim a true gentleman and good friend. I was in the Terre Haute unit, and Jim always made me feel welcome whenever I visited the Ft. Wayne unit. He was a very competent and professional airman.

My sympathy to the remaining Scheerer family. This was sad news, as I also retired from th Indiana Air National Guard (38 years) as Flight Line Supervision. Recall lots of memories of Jim and I being buddies. He was a good person.

I worked with Jim at the Indiana Air National Guard for 20 years.I feel it was an honor to have known Jim. He was a dedicated military man, who served his country proudly. Jim could always put a smile on your face either with a funny story, or just that famous twinkle in his eye. We who knew Jim will miss him, but will never forget him. Jim is now reunited with his wife, who he missed so much. Thanks Jimmy for being a part of all of our lives.

Jim Scheerer was not only a fellow Guardsman at the Indiana Air National Guard, but he was a true friend and confident as we worked together for at least thirty years. Jim was a patriot, he loved the Air Guard, and he loved America and all that being an American Soldier stood for. Jim talked about his family a lot, and you could tell by listening to him how much he loved them all.
