Dear Family,
My father met "The General" late in his life and he was a real friend to my father. I had the good fortune to meet him and I immediately realized why my father was always talking about him. He was a magnificent man, so good and kind to all. Heaven will be a little livelier I am sure. The world will miss him. My condolences to all.

To the children of Harold Pacha.....
I remember fondly the closeness of my dad ....and yours, after your father was treated for burns at our local hospital when his plane went down in a nearby rural area not far from Fort McCoy. I think I have the story right..... Your dad and mine remained friends over the years.....and stayed in contact.
My mother passed away (Toni Sullivan) this past summer.....leaving my dad, Don Sullivan, to mourn her loss. My younger brother,

I was very sorry to hear of Uncle Harold’s passing. He was a kind man and we all enjoyed his presence at the Adam family gatherings. He will be deeply missed. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Gen Pacha was a kind honorable gentleman. He always thought of others before himself. When I arrived in springfield over 35 yrs ago as a stranger I was very fortunate to meet him and was immediately treated as if I had known him for years. He saw that I was treated fairly in my military career and introduced me to the Knights of Columbus. I had the priviledge of serving under his command both while he was active and also

It is with profound sorrow that I learn of Harold's death. He was a dear friend and I will certainly miss him at our reunions. My deepest sympathy to Tom and all the family.

Tom, the General will be sorely missed in the ranks of the 103d Infantry Division reunions. He was a gentleman, a true patriot, and a great American. God Bless you and the family. We will miss this great man!
