So sorry for your loss, I know your pain and all of you will be in my prayers.

Its odd how you can go through life not really knowing what an impact your father had on so many people. The most often question I'm asked is "Oh, are you Bill Edwards daughter? ".......... followed by "I remember going to his Sport Shop and buying a gun from him", or "I bought my first gun from him". Then they would go on to say how they just went into Mom and Dad's store to purchase something, or browse and

".......... followed by "I remember going to his Sport Shop and buying a gun from him", or "I bought my first gun from him". Then they would go on to say how they just went into Mom and Dad's store to purchase something, or browse and 3 hours later came out with more knowledge about guns and rifles and good places to hunt and fish. Dad knew it all and he wasn't one to keep his knowledge to himself, being a teacher taught him I'm sure to educate all who were willing to listen and learn.
Dad lived a full life, and almost 62 years of marriage to his soulmate and confidante, its also comforting to know he will be with his son, my brother John now too....
Dad, you will be missed by so many, but not as much as the ones who were closest to you, your family.......... Rest in Peace Dad, and know we will love you forever and a day !

As I sit by my dying grandfathers side listening to his shallow breathing as he effortlessly lays on his side, eyes closed and hands taughtly grasping the towels we have rolled up for him I realize that shortly, very shortly this will come to an end. As I sit by my dying grandfathers side listening to his shallow breathing as he effortlessly lays on his side, eyes closed and hands taughtly grasping the towels we have rolled up for him I realize that shortly, very shortly this will come to an end. Death, what an unfortunate, scary, fantastic, complicated and amazing thing that I will probably never fully be able to wrap my head around completely. Though soon his body will no longer be filled with the life it once was I feel as if a part of him will always be here, even if not visible he will still exist. Like a mosaic that was created with a thousand pieces in fine detail then damaged and in an effort to recreate the original copy you try to build a replica but this time with only one hundred pieces. You wouldn't really see the detail as you once could but you can still make out the outlines and you can see the "big picture". When my grandfather passes he will live on through the memories of others and the stories we tell. It will never be as good as the original copy but at least in a way he will still exist.

Sorry for your loss Judy, Scott and family. I know Scott always talked highly of his grandfather. I'm sure he will be missed by all. My prayers are with you and your family. Kay, Pete and Cassie!
