Ella Carrington Rufin on Tuesday, December 20,2011 a gifted artist passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She is survived by her daughters Emma Beam Kramer (David) and Linda Scariano (John). She is also survived by six loving grandchildren, David Beam (Tiffany), Shannon Bergeron, Susan Scariano, Patrick Scariano (Elizabeth), Laura Scariano and Ashley Erwin ( Joshua). She is great- grandmother to Ronnie Bergeron, Madison and Charlie Beam, Jacob, Amelie and Collin Scariano. Ella was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles Albert Rufin. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law, Ronnie Beam, her parents Genevieve and Leon Carrington, brothers James, Cleveland and Roger Carrington and her sister Genevieve Carrington. She is survived by brothers Leon and Thomas Carrington and sisters Anna Smith and Betty Trosclair. The family would like to thank Guscelia Smith, Jessie Fields, Vickie Taylor and St. Joseph's Hospice for their devoted care. In lieu of flowers donation to St. Anthony of Padua Church in memory of Ella Rufin Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, (formerly All Faiths), on Dec. 23, 2011 at 11:00 am Interment will follow in Carrollton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am until time of service.
