So glad to have spent the evening with Al and Annetta at our Reunion a couple of years ago. It was a treat after more than 50 years to see what a successful adult Al had become, and to meet his love, Annetta. Annetta, I know how you will miss him!

I first met Coach Schomber & family when Lil Al & I were in kindergarten together. We went through Green Valley, NSJH, & NSSH together. we had some good times together. We played Little League baseball together, & Coach came to our rescue when we were in bad need of a "good" coach. I have nothing but wonderful memories of Coach & his family. He was a great role model. Toded Layne, NSSH, Class of 1982.

The hardest but most admired coach we ever had. He was able to take his basketball players to a different level. After my two years with him, the game would never be the same. He brought smart, fast, discipline to the floor. Gone but not forgotten. "Against the wall"!

A great man and coach

Was a tremendous teacher, coach, friend and opponent. The most difficult times I ever faced as a coach was against him and that godawful 2-3 zone he used to play. RIP coach.

Coach Schomber taught me history and my first football coach in the 7th grade. He taught me a lot about life and leadership in class and on the football feild. I still use what he taught me today in my career. He was a very good person and will be missed.
