We shared so much that it is hard to sum everything up in a short space. Shelley was the best friend anyone could ask for. We spent so much time together during periods of our lives and yet when we didn't get to be together, when we were it was like we had never been apart. We could laugh and cry together over everything. One day we were talking and being "Shelley" she looked at me and said "Did I ever tell you that your my hero" from the song Wind Beneath My Wings. So we started laughing and signing the song, well the next thing you know we were both crying and laughing and carrying on so for years afterwards, one of us would look at the other and say those simple words but we always laughed about it. She was the wind beneath many people's wings and I am so proud that I got to call her my friend. I will miss her terribly. Our plan was to sit in rocking chairs in a nursing home someday and do nothing but play cards all day long. Now, whenever I sit and rock, I will know that she is right there with me. Love ya Shell -
