My dear Holden family,

I just counted...Betty was my sister-in-law for 43 years, and she was really more than a sister-in-law to me ~ she was a confidante and a very dear friend. I have so many wonderful memories of vacations, celebrations and holidays with the three Holden brothers and their wives (Betty, Doris and myself) that I will treasure forever!

My dear Holden family,

I just counted...Betty was my sister-in-law for 43 years, and she was really more than a sister-in-law to me ~ she was a confidante and a very dear friend. I have so many wonderful memories of vacations, celebrations and holidays with the three Holden brothers and their wives (Betty, Doris and myself) that I will treasure forever!
I can picture Betty now, with a smile on her face. And if there is food in heaven, you can be sure that Betty will be cooking her special shrimp creole or chicken lasagna and Jack saying "What's cooking,'Bets' ?" It warms my heart to imagine those gone before her at that dinner table(Jack and his two brothers Russell and Bobby, Betty's mother and father, Mr.& Mrs.Curtis,and Terry and "Nan").

Betty was one of the kindest human beings I have ever met...always wanting to help...she was a 'giver'. I'm sure you've heard that from many other people, and I'm also sure that you know it...you've been blessed to witness it. She surely lived her life to the fullest and I was blessed to have known her and be a part of it. Thanks be to God!

Betty, you always said "Patsy, I raised you"! And you did! I was your shadow growing up. Your statement to me every time we talked on the phone was "Count your blessings Patsy". But my big blessing was you Betty! Love, your little sis, Pat

My heart goes out to you on the loss of such a lovely lady! She always made us feel welcomed when we went to Annapolis to see her and Uncle Jack. She had a great sense of humor, too, which I suspect she developed in self-defense with such a funny family! Miss you, cousins! Keep in touch and keep the...Faith Beall xxxx

I am Pat Holden's sister. I didnt know Betty well but was blessed to meet her on a few occasions over the years. I mainly have memories of Pat and Bob's stories of Betty (and the brothers and in laws) and they were tales full of smiles and laughter. I know she will be greatly missed and I also know she awaits a happy reunion with you all! Jesus is the way. My sincere condolences to and prayers for you all.

Mrs. Betty Holden always was gracious and kind in every interaction we had. Truly she is one of the most gracious women I ever had the privilege to know, living out “Love is patient, love is kind; it is not self-seeking; it always perseveres.” (I Corinthian 13) As I reflect on what

Mrs. Betty Holden always was gracious and kind in every interaction we had. As her body was failing, she remained gracious and kind. How amazing. Thank you Mrs. Betty Holden for living a life that was a powerful sermon. I took notes.

I'm so glad my mom Rosemary(Rosie,Betty's sister), myself, brother and his wife had a chance to be with her in November of 20ll. Every other year for the past several years we've had a reunion with the Holden/Basil families. Betty would flash that lovely smile, look into our eyes with care and love each time we saw her! It was much fun!!
Betty's children, and grandchildren have treated Betty like the angel Betty is. Betty passed her angel like spirit on to her children, grandchildren and everyone else she was close to. What a woman, a child of God.
Betty's in heaven now with Gramma and Grampa, Terri, her husband Jack - the love of her life, and many others she loves.
There's a party going on in heaven with the Lord in that special room HE made just for Betty Holden! Love, Minnesota Cousin Karen and Jim Dahl.

There's room for you!
Even if she was in the process of serving dinner, she would stop and say, “There’s room for you”! These few words are representative of the love, kindness and generosity of my Aunt Betty. There was always “room for you”. In the bible is a verse from Proverbs, “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies”, everyone who knew her, knew that she was a beautiful person, far above the price of rubies.
