For me, arriving as a teen-aged newcomer in a small town, Mr. and Mrs. Castle defined genuinely kind and gracious hospitality. I felt comfortable and welcomed whenever I stopped by-- good conversation with good people in the big white house on Spring Avenue. Today, many years later, when I think of Louisville, I find myself recalling Mrs. Castle, her easy grace, and her sweet iced tea. May she rest in peace. My prayers are with you all in this time of "going home.”
