Memories & Candles
Im sitting here shedding a tear for the loss of you, Dr Lyss. You were a mentor in my life of which I have only had just a few. You took me in under your wing during the end of my studies as an extern from Palmer College of Chiropractic. I lived in your pocket for 6months learning and partaking in your life. My life was and is profoundly changed and to this day, though thousands of miles away, I

I just found out about the passing of Dr. Lyss. I can honestly say I know he is in Heaven. He was such a wonderful man & doctor. Every time he treated me, he adjusted my body, mind & soul. He saved me from shoulder surgery 18 years ago. He saved my husband from spinal surgery at age 33. When I was 39 weeks pregnant with my son who was breach, while my OB said I had to have a

I just learned thru the Palmer website that Dr. Lyss had passed on. He will be missed by all those who he helped. He was truly an instrument of God in his healing. I learned from him and was healed by him. I am grateful our paths crossed while I was at PCC and continued to pass for years afterwards when he traveled north or I returned to the Quad Cities. God bless you, Dr. Lyss.

Dear Rhonda and Family,
So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I remember one time just after Michelle (our daughter) was born that he came to our house to pick up your sister. He shared some valuable information with us and helped our daugher so much. I know you will always miss him and cherish your memories. I hope you and your family are doing well. I think of you often.
Again, please accept our sympathies!

To the Lyss family from a former West Sider. I am sorry for your loss, but am comforted that Doc & Jo are together again in heaven. They were both always extremely kind, thoughtful & genteel--a real class act. I know they both will be missed. God Bless you all.

I will always remember the kindness of Dr. Lyss. He never failed to shake my hand and give me a smile at church. I remember him going to the altar often to pray. He and JoAnn are missed!

We are very sorry for your loss. As an invaluable and humble servant of God, touching thousands of lives in a way that only he could, he will be greatly missed by us and countless others. Know that our thoughts are with you, his family in this time of loss and sorrow. And yet there is joy in knowing that he is shed of the ailing earthly body and is a new creation in heaven with loved ones gone on before. Kent & Nancy
