Though I am a lifelong Duke fan, I could not help but be amazed by the '83 championship team. Lorenzo appeared to have been such a down to earth guy. I am still in shock that he is gone. My sincere codolences to his family and friends.

As a 27 year old ex New Yorker, I also hailed from Brooklyn. After quickly becoming a Wolfpack basketball fan, I stopped yearning for the NY KNicks, which had been my team growing up.

Lorenzo exemplified the pure spirit, heart, and work ethic of that 83' championship team. Coach V had no doubt, run that scenario in practice hundreds of times: Derrick hoisting up a short 38ft. shot, and ZO cutting to the low post to grab the ball and slam

My deepest condolences on the loss of Lorenzo....he was a kind and gentle man, a wonderful son, father, husband, brother and friend. He was so much more than a dunked basketball....he was a beautiful spirit. May God comfort you and bring you mercy during this sorrowful time.

There no words sufficient enough to tell you how much we will miss "Lo". He and I drove many days and nights at Capital Style. He was a true gentleman and friend. His increbile laugh will stay in my memories for years to come. Please know that your families loss is my loss too. God be with you all in this terrible time. call on me for anything we can do.
