You brought sunshine into my life when I most needed it. I found comfort and joy in the time we spent together. At times I felt like we were the only two people in the world. You taught me lessons that I still use today, and although we were not together at the time of your passing, so much of you still remains in me and will live in my heart forever.

You taught me lessons that I still use today, and although we were not together at the time of your passing, so much of you still remains in me and will live in my heart forever.

I fell deeper in love with you when we visited Ground Zero in New York City, sharing silent moments when we both felt a world of pain and sorrow like a million tons of steel on our shoulders. How sick you were with that double ear infection, yet you still put on a happy face for me the rest of the trip. When we rode in the horse and carriage in Central Park, I truly felt like a princess in a fairy tale, and I always thought that was the most romantic thing anyone ever did for me all my life. Our trips to Chicago were wonderful, I always felt so alive there, and so proud to be on the arm of the handsome man I loved. Thank you so much for these and the hundreds of other pleasant memories.

You always welcomed everyone into your home, loving to cook and nourish anyone you encountered. You gently taught me to always put family first no matter what and to bring aid to others when possible. My grandkids, who were so small when you came into their lives, still remember their "Papa AAAK" as they called you. They too are saddened by your untimely departure.

The duets we sang, that became synonymous with our names in the karaoke circle, have never been the same. Other music we shared as well will always bring a tear to my eye.

I so enjoyed your whole family. I have always missed them as well as you. Your parents, children, and siblings are as wonderful as you. May you shine on through them.

Unfortunately we were not in touch over the years. However, I recently found all your work on Ancestry.com and I will make every attempt to continue where you left off. My sympathy to your family.

I met Mark about 10 years ago and enjoyed talking to him every time I was around him. He was always telling me about his kids and I loved hearing about his work as an electrician as my father was also an electrician.The world lost a really nice man with Mark's passing. God Speed Mark!

I was commenting on how sunburned you were, and you said that you were "CRISP". I thought that was so funny and I still remember it clearly today.

We ran into each other again at the Joyce center for a ND basketball game. We stood around talking for a bit.

Then several years ago we ran into each other again when I was working at IN/TEK in the cafeteria. You came through the line and recognized me right away. You were doing some electrical contracting work out there. Wow, we hadn't seen each other in years, but it was like the years just melted away and there we stood, 2 kids, best buddies, like no time had passed at all.

Then, thank God for Facebook, and at least we could see glimpses of our lives even though we were both too busy to get together in person. At least I had you back in my life......and now you sing with the angels. I will see you again, my sweet friend, in the spirit realm in the future. Your memory will always be with me, and I look forward to the day when we can karaoke in heaven together...maybe I'll have a better voice by then! HA! God Speed........ I love you, Mark.
