Mom, I miss you so much! I want everyone to know what love of God, family, country, and church that you and dad instilled into all of your children! We Love you mom and we know that you want us to continue being the parents that you raised us to be! We will mom! We will get through this! Velma is the sweetest woman I have ever met. I remember many times sitting talking about lovely memories and chatting about how wonderful of a woman velma really was with her grandson daniel, she was so angelic in everyway. Her relationship with god was stronger than anyone I've ever come in contact with. Everyone could learn something from velma. She was a perfect example of what a real woman should act and be like. She will be dearly missed and thought of daily!

Dear Lillegard Family,
I had the privilege of working with your mother from 1980-85 at the Baker Book Store. Velma was such a delightful person: a wonderful godly Christian woman, a devoted mother (I remember well her care and concern for each child!), and a kind and good friend with a truly merry sense of humor. In those days we shared a lot of fun, as well as a lot of hard work. She was a radiant example of joyful devotion
