Memories & Candles
I knew Velma for 32 years, she was like a second mom. I will miss her dearly. She was a strong, Godly woman and there are no doubts that she is now rejoicing with Jesus. I am so glad to have the beautiful quilt that she made for John and I when we married. What a wonderful keepsake. I am keeping all of the family in my prayers during this time of sorrow. She has definitely left a void in our lives here on Earth...but praise God, we will see her again!

I had the privilege of knowing Velma for about 15 years. I worked with her at Banner Books for 5 years until she retired. She gave me a beautiful Christmas quilted wall hanging which is displayed every year. I loved her wonderful sense of humor, beautiful smile and gentle spirit. She was a great Christian lady, a blessing and she'll be missed by all who knew and loved her!

It's difficult to say good-bye when someone we love dies, To know we'll miss the laughter and the love found in their eyes, Yet much emptiness and heartache, much loneliness and sorrow, Will be eased by cherished memories living on in us tomorrow. May your sorrow be less and your memories more dear with every passing day. My thoughts are with you and yours.
Velma, it was a joy to know you when you worked at JoAnn's and then when you joined Berrien Towne and Country Quilters. You will be sorely missed, my friend.
