Edward Sanchez

Edward "Kayo" Sanchez, A real San Pedrian, born in the LaRambala section of San Pedro in 1918 and lived his entire life there. He was reunited on April 17, 2012 with his wife of 70 years, Amalia "Molly". He was a WWII veteran and fought in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, was a Purple Heart recipient. Kayo was a proud member of the ILWU for over 35 years. He is survived by his children, Lydia (Charlie) Ornelas of San Pedro; Rosalie (Steve) Feeney of Lake Forrest; Eddie (Peggie) Sanchez of New Mexico; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be offered Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church. Visitation will be at the rosary Monday, 7:00pm at Holy Trinity. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Trinity Food Bank.
