Gramps was always a great source of wisdom and knowledge. I have wonderful memories of staying with Gram and Gramps in Moline, walking Rebel and swimming at the pool. They are together again. I miss them both greatly.

Dad has gone to the other side to be with his soulmate mom. He was lost and now is found. He will be greatly missed.

I did not get to know Harrison very well, but he must have been a man of great integrity, character, principle and wisdom, and a great father, because Michael is all of that. I have no doubt that all of Harrison and Jean's children inherited and learned the same wonderful, and all too rare, traits from their parents. I consider myself fortunate to have worked with, and become a lifelong friend of, Michael. Debbie and I send our love, thoughts and prayers to the Abbott family. Abe & Debbie.

Gramps is what we called him. He was the best grandpa one could hope for. I have so many fond memories way too many to post them all but he was a great tennis teacher, took me and my brother Steve to Black Hawk college courts in Moline and taught us the sport. He loved frisbee and we spent hours in their backyard playing to "10", laughing! I loved his greeting, it started with a hug then he would grab

How great to have had Jean and Ab as friends. What treasured memories we shared....as neighbors, tennis buddies, at dances, at garage sales, and wherever something was happening in HSV.
We missed them when they moved to Utah, though we all understood that need to be closer to family.
Jean started a "Lunch-Bunch of tennis players once a month after she could no longer partisipate in tennis. She always had a game for us to play..."guess the names of wildflowers" She and

I was privileged enough to meet Harrison about a year ago, when he would come to the hospital to listen to his favorite piano player on Wednesday afternoons. As I worked as a volunteer at the front desk on Wednesday, he enlisted me to call him when this particular piano player was there as he didn't want to make the trip unnecessarily. I kept his phone number and would call him every Wednesday with the news of whether to make

Kathy,
I truly feel your parents were the perfect example of "true love". After your mom's passing I think of your dad as a "beautiful swan" mourning the loss of his partner, waiting to be united in heaven. They were great people... the world needs more like them. I love you dear. Call me anytime. Kath

Dear Michael and family, Kathy and family, Jae and family, Scott and family,

We are so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. We just know your darling Father went straight to heaven to be beside your Mother. I remember the great wit your Father displayed over the years and oh how handsome he was!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

With love,
Ron & Charlotte Van Buren

He was my father. He was a great man and a wonderful Dad.

Dear Kathy,

We were so saddened this morning when we saw your Dad's picture in the obituaries. He & Jean were our neighbors for such a short time, but we had a great deal of love & respect for them both. Their reunion must have been very joyous. I will miss Ab's wave to me from accross the street & the good visits we had when I was sitting on my front steps & he would come over to join me.
