Memories & Candles
I was lucky enough to get one of her great pecan pies, & YES it was delicious. I know she will be missed greatly. My prayers are with the family.

I worked with Jessie at Dr. Hughes office for many years. She hired me as her assistant and also gave me many of her recipes. Mexican cornbread, green rice, chicken spaghetti and all her pies were my personal favorites. We will miss you Jessie...

I love you Granny and miss you so much already! I will miss your awesome cooking and especially the strawberry pies you used to make for my birthday and how I would try to eat the whole pie in 1 sitting. I will see you again one day!

I will miss you Mrs. Tucker. I worked with her at Dr. Hughes. I remeber on every Thursday at noon was her hair appointment. She was a very nice lady and she hired me in 1977 at Dr. Hughes office and I worked there 24 years. Another angel in Heaven.

I worked with Jessie at Dr. Hughes office, and as a matter of fact she hired me. She was very sweet and yes a great cook. I still have many of her recipes and use them. Dr. Hughes really enjoyed her pecan pies and she would always make one for his birthday, which is this coming Monday. And we were just asking who was going to make him a pecan pie which always makes me think of Jessie. I am so sorry for your loss, but I know she is in a good place.

Jessie was the sweetest, kindest person I ever knew. Joe and I were friends with her and Bill when we were first married and raising our babies. Joe loved Jessie, they had all grown up in the same neighborhood. He always called her Jessie Marie. Now they are celebrating together in Heaven.

We had some lovely shopping and vacation trips together. Jessie loved her shopping - buy one week - take it back the next. And she loved cooking for her family and having everyone over. She will be missed. We'll all miss her chocolate pies, strawberry pies, and of course, we must not forget those delicious chicken and dumplings!! They were the best and so were you Jessie.
