He was my great uncle but in my heart he was "Paw Paw George". I am blessed to have been able to spend some time with him. He was the most kind, generous, thoughtful person I know. He was blessed with an amazing spirit and such responsibility to community. I am amazed the God saw fit to allow me to witness such an incredible person. He can now rest in peace and rejoin the love of his life. He lives on forever in our hearts. Love you Paw Paw George! Always, your granddaughter Nancy

A wonderful great uncle, Will miss the times that I was able to spend in arizona with my personal tour guide. I always wished he lived closer so I could spend more time with him, but I understud why he stayed.

George Lightel will be sorely missed by Post 135 of the American Legion. George always had a wonderful spirit. Back on Veteran's Day, Sam's Club was giving away free canes. When we offered George one, he said, "I'm just happy with my old stick". He also was a great influence on Donovan, a nice young man that we met and that he helped to make a very polite and decent person. God bless him as he is in heaven now.

Geroge will truly be missed my me and my family and the Officers and men of VFW post 7400. He served as our Gurad from 1995 to 2010 and was always there to transport the clothes, blankets, quilts, books, puzzles and magazines to the VA Hospital in Prescott. He never missed a function and was an integral part of the VFW.

Uncle George, You were always the most loving uncle...just a big teddy bear. I always yearned for my children to get to know you and I am sorry we never got that chance. You will live in my heart forever. Thanks for always remembering me and always being so cheerful when I called. Your niece Barb.

Uncle George, your heart was bigger then life itself. Even though I had the pleasure of only knowing you for 7 short years, they were filled with lots of memories. Thank you for being part of my life and remember, the coffee pot will is always on.........

Missed your smiling face last week. As we always entered the church, there you were with that big grin. Rest in peace our friend.
