Jamill Al-Deen Ellis was born on September 8, 1986 in Newark, New Jersey son of Jason Clemons and the late Laynette Ellis. Jamill was raised by his siblings. He was educated at Essex County Academy in Newark, New Jersey where he received his High School diploma. He had dreams of going to culinary arts school and becoming a chef. Jamill was a calm spirit with a lovable nature that deemed him the "Teddy Bear" of the family. He saved a large portion of his heart for his nieces and nephews because to him they were his world. He had a love for cooking and would always try a homemade recipe at least once. When he would return home, everyone would ask "what did you cook Mil-Mil?" Even though he may be gone he could never be forgotten. He departed this life on the morning of May 3, 2012 at age of 25, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his mother, Laynette Ellis. Jamill was dearly loved and leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Jason Clemons; grandmother, Mary Jane; aunt, Irene "Tiny" Ellis; brothers: Hassan, Ali, Al-Mid, Amean, Latief, and Sadot Ellis; sisters: Melissa, Jamillah and Egypt Ellis; half-brothers: Carl and Sajada Gregory; sisters-in-law: Ciara Ellis, Lisa Baldwin, Misha Butler, Tyra Green and Lina Banks; 19 nieces and nephews, 2 great nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. There comes a time for all of us When we must say goodbye But faith and hope and love and Trust can never, never die. Although the curtain falls at last Is that a cause to grieve? The future's fairer than the past If only we believe And trust in God's eternal care- So when the Master calls Let's say that life is still more fair Although the curtain falls.
