I was very sad to learn of Les's passing. My prayers go out to his family. Les and I worked together at EG&G many years ago, and he was a good friend. We kept in touch, meeting annually for lunch with other friends. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Hugh, Kim and family, I received Hugh's letter today, and wish to express my sincerest condolences. I am praying that the Lord will comfort your hearts with His peace at this sad time. I was saddened to hear of Les' passing. He was a kind and generous man who always brightened my day. It was a pleasure working with him at Catholic Charities or bumping into him around town on Saturday morning. He loved his family dearly and my condolences go out to them on this loss.

We became fast friends over Saturday morning breakfast at Friendly's. We only knew Les for about two years but felt as though we had known him forever. We will miss his warm smile and sincere kindness.

I had the honor of working with Mr. Jones in two different capacities. A number of years ago he visited Glen Urquhart School and spoke to students for a Veterans' Day Assembly and more recently through some work connected with the State House. Both times, he was inspirational and I had as recently as last week thought about stopping in to see him just to get a little shot of the Mr. Jones "Joie de vive". I was deeply shocked and saddened to read his obituary in the Salem Evening News. A bright light has gone away.

To Kim and the Jones family, words can not express my sadness for your loss. Your Father was a bright light in my life and now he is with the lord. May his legacy be your guiding light thru this time of sorrow.
