I am sorry for his families loss. I had found a family connection to William, while searching family genealogy.

Sandy & Family, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know Bill very well, but enjoyed seeing him riding with Sandy & friends in Salmon Brook Park, they'd always stop & say hi when I'd be walking my dogs. What a lovely couple. Both smiling and always happy together. He'd always say hi, no matter where you'd see him. It seemed like once he met you he'd never forget you. My heart goes out to all

We'd like to offer our condolances and say we are deeply sorry for your loss. Joe has known Bill since he was very young when he would go back to Crowley's in the early seventies.Bill would also go to Joe's sale in South Saint Paul; Joe said he would buy the best horses there! I was glad I had the opportunity to meet him when he would come back to MN to buy horses. He was also kind enough to

Dear Sandy and Children, My deepest sympathy at your loss. It's been a long time since we've had a chance to visit but I remember the many times Bill bailed me out of my "horse problems". I'll always remember what a family man he was with Sunday's always being a family day. Take Care. Vicki

Dear Sandy, I remember when you were first dating Bill and there was a special something between you that was present even then. You two young kids went on to create a dream and then go on to live it. Deep sympathy to all. Dear Toni, You have been a support to the Strain family and I have you in my thoughts.

Sandy, Because of Bill, each family member has lived a very unique and enriched life with exposure to a lost art of surviving with man, nature, and animal. Toni, Bill lucked out with you as a sister-in-law. Always present and supportive when needed, funny, witty, clever, and with a laughter that is remembered long after the story ends. Loss is sad, but the Blessing is that Bill was active until the very end of the trail.

Dearest Sandy, When I heard the news of Bill's passing, it seemed the world instantly became smaller, as if some vital element went suddenly missing. There was a profound sadness, knowing that now our life together as friends and riders would cease to be. I admired Bill so much for his devotion to you, your children, and your grandchildren. His love for each of you was fierce. I wish now, too late, that I had told him of my admiration.

I met Bill 6 months ago with a friend, Michelle N. He was one of the most amusing, entertaining characters I have met in a long time; especially when we were test driving his horses. I am lucky to have taken a video of he and I that day!!!!!! See you on the other side!
