Hearing the news of Bill's passing both shocked and saddened us. It is such a great loss! Bill touched so many lives. There are so many of us that have shared good times with Bill and the family on and off the trail. He was not only a great horseman and a dedicated family man but was a kind soul. He liked to keep that part hidden but we knew better. He was always there if you needed him, and

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Bill will be missed greatly by all that had the honor of knowing his kind and generous nature. His reach and influence in the world was far and wide. May we all live our lives to the fullest as he did.

Bill leaves a huge legacy and endless memories to all who knew him. To understand the true meaning of "horseman", simply look under "Bill Strain" in the dictionary. He helped launch our horse career years ago and from then on was always available with sage advice, cowboy wit, and oft times tongue-in-cheek humor to get his point across. We will forever picture him atop his huge mounts, smiling broadly while enjoying the company of friends and his beloved family. Sandy and family..our hearts ache for you.

Bill was an Icon that will stay with us forever. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. I am so sorry for your loss.

This world has lost, and heaven has gained, one of the most loving, caring, kindest, and sincere, souls that ever walked the face of this earth. We are so shocked and saddened with this news. There are many horses lined up at Rainbow Bridge to welcome someone who loved them all and cared for them. Our deepest of sympathies to Sandy and the family. Much love and many prayers are being sent to all of you. Bonnie & Donna

I can't remember all the times over the years that Bill and the entire Strain Family came to our aid as we enjoyed the joys and challenges of the horse world. And just 2 years ago, Bill chanced to meet me and stood by me as I had to put down a beloved dog. Bill was a true horseman, a kind teacher, a loyal friend, and a wonderful family man- the horse world will not be the same without him. Sandy, we wish you and all the family our heartfelt sympathy.
