Sadly, We have lost a wonderful Lady.
Before the Yellow Rose, I am reminded of the good times helping out at the sawmill, and on the farms. After my marriage, it was comforting to know my family was always welcome at the Rose.Quite often, Sandy recounts the happy times she had working for Rosie.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all

I'm not going to be able to make it to the service, but I wanted to let you all know that your family is in my thoughts & prayers during this extremely difficult time. New Athens has lost an amazing lady who will be sorely missed.

To Deb & family, & Jim & family: I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. Although she was more than a mom to just you, she mothered everyone.
I learned so much from her while working at The Yellow Rose. Rosie was
one of the most kind, generous, patient, understanding & lovable people
I knew. She loved her family always talking abou them. New Athens has
lost it's "Yellow Rose", heaven has gained a true angel.

"Rosie"
....what a very special woman. I am so fortunate to have met & spent time with her. No such thing as a short visit or phone call, because we always found plenty talk about. And I loved every minute.
A friend, but more like family. I will always have a special place in my heart just for ROSIE! I loved her dearly, and will miss her each day. But I know she's with those who have gone on...Jim, Granny & Georgia.
(Rest In Peace Rosie, Love ya)

My mom was the most special woman in the world. If anyone had something to worry about, give it to Rosie and she would do the worrying for you. She loved people and she loved all of her family. She enjoyed having the Yellow Rose, and loved the people who visited. When it felt more like work than fun she sold the tavern. She had alot of wonderfull memories. It is very hard for me to think I won't talk
