Thomas Szasz is my intellectual hero. A truly great man who I believe will be treated better by a succeeding age. He exemplified the quote from Einstein that "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction." The field of psychiatry today is inhabited by intelligent fools.

You made such a difference to me and so many psychiatric survivors worldwide Thomas Szasz. You emailed and encouraged me several times. I was so delighted to meet you in Dublin when this photo was taken in September 2007 when another amazing man Terence Mc Laughlin passed away. May you rest in peacce and may you be more powerful now and in the furure because you let the world know that so called 'mental illness' is indeed a
MYTH. THANKS!

I knew when I had lost the opportunity to get to know Tom through a mutual friend, I would always regret it. From that time (2008) Thomas Szasz's analytical intelligence influenced my way of thinking. I tried to make up for that void by reading and citing his work whenever I could. I also kept his moral authority included in my activism, whether consciously or subconsciously. Its not that I will never forget him; rather, I will always remember him,
