Dearest Ed, Brian and all of the Yung family,
I just heard the sad, painful news about Chris. My heart is with you all in your sorrow. Ed, I am remembering your stories about Chris as he was growing up and your fatherly concerns about his struggles. Yet he became a wonderful young man, a soldier for our country, police officer, husband and father. Despite some stumbling, he accomplished so much in his short time with us. I know how proud

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Yung family. I know that this tragic loss has left a void in your family that will never again be filled. I know that your heads must be spinning wondering why or how something like this could happen. Over the next few months or even years, your hearts will probably be filled with grief, then anger, and finally the good memories of this truly wonderful man. It takes a special

My family and I did not have the honor of knowing Officer Yung or his family. But we sleep at night, go to school, church, sports activities and play because Officer Yung -- like so many others -- stood to post to keep us safe.

As a father and husband, I am supposed to protect my family. Thank you, Officer Yung, for doing my job. To his wife and children, especially, we grieve with you and pray that God will ease your grief as He welcomes His son home.

Mike and I wanted to send our condolences to the Yung family for their terrible loss! Mike was classmates with Bate for first and second grade and it was such a joy to get to know you all before we moved. Chris was always so friendly and nice to talk to at class gatherings and in the pick up line. I am so sorry for your loss and both Mike and I send you prayers and hugs! You all our in our thoughts!

Ed, Brian and the entire Yung family...I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Chris. No parent expects to attend the funeral of their child. When my brother died, I saw how this affected my Mom. You will be in my thoughts as you go through this transition

I only met Chris one time but it was a moment that will stay with me forever. In May of 2010 my 5 month old son passed away. I asked a friend Shawn Barrett (PW County Police) if he would stand by my son's grave as everybody left the cemetary and watch over my son. He did so with honor along with his friend Chris. Chris did not know me or my family but he was there watching over my

My husband and I met Officer Yung last summer when he responded to our call about some stray horses that had wandered into our yard. He ended up spending a good part of the afternoon at our house that day helping round up the horses while an animal control officer tried to locate their owner. He and my husband shared a few laughs over the strange situation and, after the owners came and claimed the horses, Officer Yung was on
