Whatever excellence now being experienced by Carroll ISD sits on the shoulders of Jack Johnson. He had a vision of greatness for the tiny district which he led and never compromised the need for strong teachers dedicated to students and community.
I was blessed to have been one of the fortunate hired by this strong leader. His legacy will live forever.

Jack Johnson was a wonderful human being and sincerely cared for the well being of his students.
Condolences to his family; we will always remember him from our time at CHS; class of 1968 & 1969. He left a great legacy in Southlake.

From 1987, Ann, Steph, John and I lived down the street from Jack and Modean. Steph thought it was cool her school was named after our neighbor.
The contributions the Johnson's made to the Carroll ISD and as a result, the community and town made the home of the Dragons a reality. Jack was always a great resource to me in the 90's when I was on the School board.
Thanks for the leadership, contribution and memories. We will never forget! You built this!

I was really sorry to hear about Mr. Johnson. He and Mr. Durham were synonomus with Carroll Schools. I had known him since first grade and he was still there when I graduated in 77. He was a wonderful leader. He will be missed but never forgotten.
