My prayers go out to Leroy's mother and family. He was a fantastic sax player, artist and friend from back in the day. Leroy was my son's (Frank R. Hooker, Jr.'s) godfather. May he rest in peace.

Leroy was a very special guy who touched the lives of countless individuals as a Colt and as a musician. I knew him first as a tremendous football player and one of Coach Gainous' 'boys'. His music only enhanced his reputation and I always break into a smile when I hear Chuck call out his name on "Bustin' Loose". "Hey Leroy"...rest in peace.

I truly enjoyed his saxophone playing. Today when I listen to “Bustin Loose” I find his solo at the end of the recording to
