Scott and I are so lucky to have known TJ through Foothill Striders for the last three years. He always had a friendly word and big smile to share with all. His love of hiking and his Smoky Mountains was something he would happily discuss with everyone. He was always encouraging us to get out and hike and we will sorely miss him in our lives. We send our condolences and hugs to Barbara and their entire family.

Our local Sons of Norway, Vikings of the Smokies chapter expresses our deepest sympathy to Barbara and family. Trygve served faithfully behind the scenes with his wife Barbara as Vikings of the Smokies Marshalls coming early to each event to get our flags up and anthem & prayer sheets on all tables.
