Hogg Funeral Home
Hogg Funeral Home has been serving Gloucester County and the surrounding communities since the mid 1800's. The funeral home was founded by Silas Wright, a cabinet maker who also handmade caskets for local residents. Due to additional needed working capital Wright formed a partnership with J. E. Hogg who was in the general mercantile business at the time. Hogg's son, J. Roland Hogg, decided to follow in his father's footsteps as a funeral director in 1929, thus changing the name of the business to J. E. Hogg and Son. In 1940 the name was changed once more to Hogg Funeral Home and still today continues to be a family owned and operated business, maintaining the family tradition of offering exceptional value and compassionate service to families in their time of need.
