White Chapel has been under the management of the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons family since 1973, when the funeral home opened its doors in Gladstone, Missouri, on the grounds of White Chapel Cemetery. Today, we continue to provide families with quality, compassionate care, and this unique cemetery/funeral home combination allows the convenience of making all arrangements from one beautiful location.

In 1985, White Chapel’s original funeral home building was renovated by adding a new wing to allow for our community’s rapidly expanding needs. The chapel boasts seating for 160 family and friends, with additional seating to accommodate up to 80 more people. White Chapel Funeral Home also features three visitation areas and two custom funeral-planning arrangement rooms.

White Chapel Memorial Gardens was established in the early 1950s, on 45 acres of open pasture. Currently, there are approximately 25 developed acres, leaving room for future expansion. White Chapel offers a variety of interment options including traditional ground burial, side-by-side burial and lawn crypts. Mausoleum entombment is available in any of our four mausoleums: Revelations, Everlasting Life, Apostles and Christus. White Chapel also offers both glass and granite front Niches as well as an Ossuary and Scattering Gardens for those families who choose cremation. With meticulously maintained grounds and a dedicated and caring staff, White Chapel Cemetery continues to serve generations of families.

White Chapel Funeral Home is also proud to offer families burial options at Barry Cemetery, located on Northwest Barry Road in Kansas City, Missouri. The historic Barry Cemetery was established pre-Civil War, in 1840, and features upright markers.
