Mountain View Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery

A concordant transition from the majestic Wasatch Front Mountain Range to the cemetery grounds of Mountain View creates the very definition of a mountain cemetery: reverence for the splendor of nature and for the spirit of a loved one. Upon entering the cemetery, you will feel cradled between the Cottonwood Canyons and the lulling sound of breeze-tossed leaves from our numerous trees. A splendid water feature bubbles up from the ground and lazily flows through ponds, streams, and cascades over a rocky waterfall. Life-like bronze statues of elk, mountain lions, bears, and deer transport your thoughts of an ordinary cemetery to that of an extraordinary cemetery. You can sit along the rocky banks of the ponds, streams, and waterfall and be carried away by the aroma of landscaped mountain flora wafted along a cool, canyon breeze. Visiting a loved one in our cemetery is a pleasurable experience, an escape from the drone of everyday life. Simply put, Mountain View just feels like it has always been here.

At Memorial, we are just like you; our families lovingly include our animal companions. Those special friends who have loyally waited for us to return home from work, tails wagging at the sound of our car; who have curled up in a ball on our chest to take a nap with us on a weekend afternoon; who have chirped excitedly waiting to jump on our finger and have their feathers stroked—they have a special place in our hearts too. That is why we created a place to memorialize those special family members. How many years of devotion has your pet given to you? Why not commemorate a life of devotion with a space of remembrance? In Cottonwood Canyons Pet Memorial Garden, we have created an honorable resting place that respects and cares for our animal family members.

At the front of our cemetery, the gate opens up to a memorial water fountain that symbolizes our commitment and our support to our armed services. Flags from each branch of the military along with flags representing the police and firefighters wave proudly. The water feature offers a spectacular place for the final resting place of a loved one’s cremated remains. If a mausoleum best suits your final resting place wishes, we have a beautiful rose-colored granite mausoleum and boulder niches.

Our mortuary is a blending of Montana rock and timber to create a building that provides seamless transition from the outdoors to the indoors. The large chapel can accommodate around 200 people. Two large, flexible viewing areas can hold large gatherings or gatherings that are more intimate.

Around the spectacular waterfall feature is a special area for families who seek luxurious family plots. This is also the only place in the cemetery in which upright markers are allowed. Detailed landscaping makes for a truly unique place.
