Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home - Ivanhoe Chapel
A Long And Rich History Baldwin-Fairchild Cemeteries & Funeral Homes had its beginnings when founded in 1972 by Richard O. Baldwin, Jr. Then called Baldwin Funeral Home, the first chapel was established in the Goldenrod area of Orlando. In 1974, Mr. Baldwin expanded to Altamonte Springs, and in 1978 added All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry. In 1980, Mr. Baldwin again expanded through the acquisition of three additional funeral homes in the Orlando area; Fairchild Funeral Home and Crematory located on Lake Ivanhoe, Bray Funeral Home in Apopka, and Hoequist Funeral Home in Winter Garden. All five funeral homes were immediately renamed Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Homes. Today, following more acquisitions, Baldwin Fairchild has ten chapel locations and five cemeteries serving all of the Greater Orlando area. Serving All of The Greater Orlando Area Life is precious. When a life ends, it is difficult to say goodbye. It is the mission of Baldwin-Fairchild Cemeteries & Funeral Homes to assist families through this most difficult period. At Baldwin-Fairchild, we strive to provide the very finest cemeteries and the most caring ceremonies for each and every family we serve. - Richard O. Baldwin, Jr. Richard O. Baldwin, Jr. has always believed that families, regardless of their faith, social status or circumstances, deserve unwavering respect and dignity throughout the entire funeral process. It is that family principle which has earned Baldwin-Fairchild Cemeteries & Funeral Homes an excellent reputation. Traditional Services - Traditional funerals are those that closely follow a pattern set by one's religious beliefs or cultural customs. These services generally include a time for the deceased person's family to receive friends, the funeral, a procession to the cemetery and interment. Personalized Services - There is a growing trend throughout America of family and friends of the deceased planning a service that reflects personally on the life of the deceased. These services often include testimonials and stories by friends, favorite musical selections and the displaying of personal effects and photos. It can even include conducting the services at a location other than the funeral home chapel. Cremation - Nearly one-half of all funerals today include cremation. Generally based on family or ethnic traditions, cremation offers an alternative to earth burial and is gaining more acceptance in the American culture. And, Mr. Baldwin's principle of treating all deceased persons with respect and dignity is also strictly adhered to during cremation. Traditional or Personalized With Cremation - Choosing cremation in no way eliminates the choice of combining the cremation with a traditional or personalized service. Many families know the importance of holding funeral services, not only to help the bereaved family in their time of need, but also to reflect and say goodbye to someone dearly loved. The choice should be a family decision, based on feelings of both the deceased and family members. Veteran Services - We can think of no greater honor than that of having proudly served in the armed forces of this country. And for honorably discharged veterans, there are certain benefits available through the government that can greatly reduce the cost of their funerals and the funerals of the spouse and eligible dependent children. Offering The Simplicity Plan® At Baldwin-Fairchild Cemeteries & Funeral Homes we believe that every life is unique, and every funeral should be too. We celebrate life. For those who wish to plan their arrangements in advance, Baldwin-Fairchild offers The Simplicity Plan® prearrangement program, an easy way to handle an important family responsibility.
