MILLERSBURG- Vernon "RIP" N. Collins, 86, of Manor Drive, died Wednesday November 4, 2009 at The Woods Nursing Home, Camp Hill. He was born May 10, 1923 in Mt. Pleasant,, Maryland. son of the late Francis and Hallie M.(Bankard) Collins. He was the widower of Nancy J. (Schorr) Collins . He retired from the former TRW plant in Harrisburg. He was a member of David's Community Bible Church , Millersburg. . He was a Life Member of the Millersburg American Legion, Member of the USS Santa Fe, CL-60 Association, and Former Secretary of the Millersburg Moose. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of WWII . He is survived by his son - Gary, husband of Linda Collins, Lancaster, daughter - Wanda, wife of Alan Baker, Raleigh, NC; sister - Marian Mattis, Millersburg; 2 grandsons - Erik C. Baker, Denver, CO, and Tyler A Baker of Raleigh, NC. Services will be held at his church on Monday, Nov 9, 2009 at 2:30 PM Burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax Visitation on Monday, at the church from 1 to 2:30 PM Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Millersburg handled the arrangements.
