Jean Marie Lowien, 80, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH passed away Saturday November 14, 2009 at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont, OH, with her family at her side. Jean was born on July 12, 1929 in Cleveland, OH to Oren and Mary (Underwood) Fish Jr. On February 24, 1951 at St. John Lutheran Church in Marblehead she married Bernell E. Lowien. Jean had worked as a veterinary assistant and self employed dog groomer and also Standard Products. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Danbury where she helped as a cleaning lady and was a member of WELCA. Jean was also a member of the Port Clinton Artist Club for many years. She enjoyed painting, carving, making jewelry, copper enameling and reading. Survivors include, husband of 58 years, Bernell E. Lowien of Lakeside-Marblehead, son, Joel (Dawn) Lowien of Marblehead, daughters, Coni (Jeffrey) Limpert Sr. of Rittman, OH, Helen (Robert) Denney of Port Clinton, Julia (John) Empcke of Fremont, Joann (Jeff) Wilber Sr. of Wakeman, OH, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Christine) Limpert Jr., Dan (Sarah) Limeer, Michael Empcke, Lisa (Joel) McCoy, Dr. Nathan Lowien, Benjamin Lowien, Adrien Lowien, Jennifer Wilber, Jeff Wilber Jr., great-grandchildren, Maximus and Gavin Limpert, sister, Marjorie Fish of Riverview Healthcare Campus, uncle, Paul Underwood of Texas. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8PM, Monday, November 16, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Christina Young at 10:30AM, Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Marblehead, OH.
