1. My mom was a very special person, anyone that knew her would agree for one reason or another. And she had some crazy ideas about life, but one thing I know first hand is that there is someone out there looking out for us. This I believe is a good example of that; When my brother and mother and I lived in Nevada, in about 1982, Mom did some odd jobs for this older man in our town. He liked my mom and asked her out on a date, she went but she didnt really like him in that way. Well one thing led to another and he tried to make a move on her so she asked to be taken home. He didnt like being rejected, so when he dropped mom off in our driveway he started to get mean and rude, so she started telling him off. That really ticked him off and he started to get out of the car to do who knows what to her. Just as he went to open his car door a big Black Bird swooped down from our roof and landed right on his drivers side window, which was down. And started squaking at the man. The guy was so freaked out that he yelled at my mom and told her that she was a witch and to stay away from him. I was at the door the whole time and my brother was there too. It was amazing. We will never know what the guy was going to do to her, Thank God for the Black Bird!! :o) The bird stayed at our house for a couple of days and even hopped into the entryway of our home once. But then he flew away and we never saw him again. My mom later told me that when she passed away she would send some birds around me to let me know that she is good and that there is indeed something after death. I have had some things happen with birds that I know are my Mom. I am going to get Black Birds tattooed on my earlobes in rememberance. Black Birds are in some cultures believed to be bad omens. But I and our family know differently. I love you Mommy, I will never forget you. Love, your daughter Christine
